Battery :
Inspected to ensure it is fully charged & topped up. Terminals checked to ensure clean & protected from corrosion, clamps & connections checked to ensure they are secure.
Brake shoes, pads and discs : Inspected & replaced if worn.
Aternator : is your engines' own electrical generator, transforming mechanical energy into electricity to run most of your car's electrical systems. You can tell if there is a problem if your headlights dim when the engine's idling or the temperature rises rapidly both of these could indicate a damaged or broken belt. Even if we don't see these signs the belt is checked anyway, just to be sure.
Fluid levels :
This may sound obvious, but it's essential to keep tabs on your oil levels, radiator fluid levels & your windscreen wash. If any of these are leaking or running low, you could be in serious trouble.
Clutch cables: Checked for wear, these cables are under constant stress, if they wear out & snap you will lose engine control.
Wheels & Tyres:
Checked for the correct pressures any damage to the sidewalls or wheel rims (as this can cause slow leaks) that the tread depth is legal and even across the tyre's width and the spare tyre is in good condition.
Spark Plugs: Are like dirt, soot & gunk magnets - all of which can affect performance but they are easily & inexpensively changed.
